The Associated Press reported earlier this week (read the article here) that a lot of folks are having a hard time finding ammunition because of shortages supposedly resulting from people stockpiling ammo due to fears of possible gun legislation by the Obama administration and Democrat-led congress.
Well, while there may be some truth to the report, I just wanted to let our customers know that Laurel Cove Outfitters is still getting supplies of centerfire handgun ammunition, centerfire rifle ammunition, rimfire ammunition, and shotgun shells on a regular basis. We carry ammunition from Winchester, Federal, Hornady, CCI, Ultramax, Nosler, and others, so you should be able to find what you need for the upcoming fall hunting season, target or clay shooting, or just to build up your ammunition supply!

We’ve received a number of enquirys and complaints from folks who followed links back to Laurel Cove Outfitters from products listed at the shopping search engine TheFind.com only to get a “product not found” message or to find a price for the item different from the one listed at TheFind.com.

Please understand that we do not submit a product listing or price feed to The Find (they crawl or “spider” the web for their listings, similar to the other search engines), so we have no control over how current their listings are or of their accuracy or validity. With that said, it appears that there are numerous listings at TheFind.com for products we no longer carry and for products with outdated and incorrect pricing (many of our product manufacturers implemented new pricing within the past few months).

Winchester and Remington Ammunition

We wont be going forward with Remington ammunition in 2009, mainly due to the fact it’s our slowest ammunition line lagging far behind Winchester, Federal & Hornady. We’re going to take the resources from Remington and redouble our efforts back into Winchester. Expect to see more stock of Winchester ammunition in 2009, with many new items added.
